Hidden gluten

While reading "Grain Brain" I discovered what items often have gluten in them. If this is true, it would explain so much...here's some of the items I just learned often contain gluten which means I could be putting gluten into my body and I didn't know it....

-ice cream
-imitation crabmeat
-instant hot drinks
-ketchup
-root beer (I sometimes treat myself to this)
-sausage (which makes sense but I thought it was safe)
-syrups 
-vodka
-wine coolers


So there you have it my friends. I can potentially be putting gluten into my body all the while thinking I was gluten free. Now I have to eliminate more. I know I know, the keyword is OFTEN but still too much of a risk for me to take.

Did you know that shampoo/conditioner, lip balm, mascara, medications, and Play-Doh are sources of gluten also?!

We can't get away from it!!!! The more you know.....Ignorance isn't bliss. Do yourself a favor, get this book.
