Meeting goals

Now I have officially met 2 of my weight loss goals. Break 150 and get to 145 for a few days. Slowly but surely I have net both of these goals. I am officially the lowest weight I have been in years!!!! Yayayayaya! I wish I could say I wasn't excited but I am. Except for the no clothes that fit part. Most of my work pants are too big. This is another privilege conversation. I have to access and privilege to go out and get what I need to wear to work. And because of my unearned white privilege, the fact that I'm wearing jeans again today (different jeans), might be overlooked. The discomfort for me is knowing I have clothes I'm going to need to get rid of and I've had a lot of them for years but I know it's time because I can't wear pants that make me look like I'm out of the Mc Hammer music video (parachute pants anyone?). Luckily jeans allow for more versatility in terms of fit. I can wear all my jeans and they look fine. Dress pants, not so forgiving.

Privilege with Paleo is something I debate in myself constantly. I worry about my peers and their perception of me, what I eat for dinner, how I talk about the food I ingest when asked. I'm very intentional about my speaking points as to not marginalize anyone with class microaggrressions. I'm constantly thinking and wondering how Paleo, a lifestyle I have come to enjoy and found to benefit me, could benefit others on a stricter budget. I might start looking at a Paleo on a budget idea and see if I can put together a comprehensive guide for paleo on a budget!

Stay tuned for more talk of weight loss, menu planning and budget paleo! Thanks for reading :)
